The aim of the Teenage Pregnancy Prevention programme is to equip the learners with as much information about teenage pregnancy, contraceptives and sexually transmitted infection as possible. The programme is aimed at delayed initiation of sexual intercourse, increased and more effective contraceptive use, reduced rates of pregnancy and increased rates of school completion.
This programme focuses on enhancing the parenting skills of teenage mothers/fathers.
This national award winning skills development programme was developed, piloted and refined by the GMSAF over a 10 year period. The model is designed to develop critical skills, knowledge and values linked to personal, social, career and business success. Although it targets Grade 10 to 12 learners, it can also be used to benefit other learners such as out of school youth. It is designed across three phases, each comprising a series of modules whose links to identified unit standards are clearly indicated. Topics included in the programme are:

The aim of the program is to mobilize and advocate youth by engaging them in series of activities.
These are motivated youth ambassadors from different backgrounds, who are ambitious and self driven individuals.
The youth work on volunteer basis, and they undertake regular training and enrichment to equip them with all the necessary skills.\They are active in This is aimed at young people who by their actions, achievements, values and principles demonstrated their potential to be a leader and their commitment to contribute towards South Africa’s future mentoring other youth and young people who have successfully completed other programmes

The purpose of the program is to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding that the youth need to become well responsible, determine and inspired individuals and citizens.
This model is designed to directly involve youth ages between 17-25. This age group targets youth who are old enough and mature enough to comprehend the complexity of skills, knowledge, and understanding needed for our youth to acquire. The program has extension of community involvement aspects, of which it provides the participants with the basic knowledge of community development and ways of engaging with community members
This program is aimed at changing cognitions, feelings and behaviours. Through Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) learners can be made aware of their thinking patterns; they could have more insight into their own feelings, attitudes and behaviour pertaining to various issues and problems or situations. By utilizing various growth orientated, self-enhancing techniques and aids, the learners could be assisted in their attempts to unlearn negative schemas and behaviours, or re-learn positive cognitions and behaviours, in order to motivate them to grow and to develop their potential and increase their overall social functioning
